Antequera (45 min)

Antequera is a city with a long history dating back to the year 716AD and on the outskirts lies two graves from the Bronze Age which are a must to visit. The Alcazaba fortress, built by the Moors to defend the town against the Spanish Catholic army, stands to this day and has a great view of the surrounding countryside. You will also find a cathedral on the hill of the city. You will find restaurants where you can eat delicious food while watching the illuminated cathedral.  http://no.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g315910-d984649-Reviews-Restaurante_El_Escribano-Antequera_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andalucia.html.

There are many other good restaurants in Antequera with nice views. Although the city is quite large, the old part of town with the white buildings is very charming.

El Torcal is a mountain located in Anteguera municipality and we highly recommended a visit. We have written more about El Torcal under activities.
